The Petroleum Cleanup Program monitors the clean-up of petroleum that has leaked into our soil and groundwater, which could potentially contaminate drinking water.

State Underground Petroleum Environmental Response (SUPER) Act Program

The SUPER Act Program is responsible for identifying areas in the county that have contaminated drinking water as a result of leaking underground petroleum storage tanks, surface spills, and other discharges to the environment. This program conducts well surveillance in impacted areas, notifies the public of potential health effects, and provides assistance in obtaining treatment or other sources of drinking water when needed.
