Bartow, Fla.—The Florida Department of Health in Polk County (DOH- Polk) is informing residents of a confirmed human case of locally-acquired dengue and of West Nile virus infection. DOH-Polk and Polk County Mosquito Control are coordinating surveillance and prevention efforts by monitoring for cases and through aerial spraying.
