The Environmental Public Health Division inspects and permits facilities and artists that provide tattoo services in Polk County. In addition, staff investigates complaints associated with tattoo facilities to help protect the public from the spread of infectious diseases. Tattoo facilities located in Polk must apply to the Polk County Health Department for a permit.
This includes permanent makeup artists and their salons.
