The Florida Department of Health in Polk County (DOH-Polk) offers a variety immunizations for adults. Fees may apply. Talk to your health care provider before receiving any immunizations to make sure they are right for you.
- Hepatitis A and B
- Herpes Zoster (shingles) - ages 50 and older
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) – ages 19 through 26. If over 26, talk with your doctor to see if this vaccine is right for you. If visiting one of our local health departments for this vaccine, you must bring a note from your doctor stating they want you to have this vaccine.
- Influenza (flu)
- Meningococcal
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Pneumonia (PCV20)
- Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- RSV (Abrysvo) - ages 60 and older
- VERY LIMITED SUPPLY. RSV vaccine is ONLY available at Specialty Care Clinic/Immunizations Program Office in Bartow. RSV vaccine is covered by some private insurances, Medicare, or by self-pay. RSV vaccine is NOT covered by Medicaid, at this time, until further notice.

DOH-Polk has a limited number of vaccines for uninsured, underinsured, and Medicaid-covered adult clients that may be available at no cost for those who qualify:
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) – Available for uninsured and underinsured clients (ages 19 through 26)
- Meningitis - meningococcal conjugate (MCV4) and the meningitis B – Available for uninsured and underinsured clients (ages 19 and older)
- Tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) – Available for uninsured and underinsured clients (ages 19 and older)
- Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV20) and pneumococcal polysaccharide (PPSV23) – Available for uninsured and underinsured high-risk clients (ages 19 and older)
- Varicella – Available for outbreak control for all exposed persons ONLY if there is an outbreak. Otherwise, no uninsured or underinsured program for this vaccine. Available with a fee.
- Influenza (flu) – Available for uninsured and underinsured clients (ages 19 and older). Seasonal.
- Hepatitis A – Available for uninsured and underinsured clients (ages 19 and older)
- Hepatitis B – Available for uninsured and underinsured clients (ages 20 and older)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – Available for uninsured and underinsured clients (ages 19 and older)
