What Services Are Available?

The Environmental Public Health Division inspects and permits facilities that provide body piercing services in Polk. In addition, staff investigates complaints associated with body piercing facilities to help protect the public from the spread of infectious diseases. Body piercing facilities located in Polk must apply to the Polk County Health Department for a permit.
